Stretching after a workout session helps to recover muscles faster and avoid injury, but did you know that our Stretching classes are a great option for a low(er) intensity workout, too? Stretching is great for bringing the body and mind into balance, particularly beneficial after a stressful day.

Stretching helps to keep the muscles flexible, strong and healthy so that we can maintain optimal motion in our joints. Without stretching after a workout, your muscles will become tight, weak and unable to extend fully when you most need them to.

At the same time as it improves the health and flexibility of joints and muscles, stretching also helps with improving blood circulation and posture. Plus, it reduces tension in your body and can calm your mind, too, making it an excellent stress relief.

In our Stretching classes we always start by warming-up and then we combine stretching disciplines from ballet, yoga, pilates and gymnastics. This makes our Stretching classes a great workout in and of itself, just as it can be combined with any of our other classes.
